My Classroom Promise: I teach students how to navigate the college planning and application process with clarity, organization, confidence, and less stress. I use a clear, customizable high-school-to-college curriculum designed to set your student up for independent success.
Traditional college consulting often locks families into rigid, expensive packages filled with services they don’t actually need. I do things differently. My approach is rooted in teaching and mentorship, guiding your student through the process rather than managing them. Together, we customize the experience—allowing your child to focus exactly on the areas where they want and need the most support.
A Familiar Workspace:
I run my program entirely through Google Classroom. Your student already uses this platform every day at school, meaning zero learning curves and zero friction. They instantly know how to track assignments, find their custom resources, and meet deadlines.
The Custom Syllabus
Parents take complete control. You don't buy a whole school if you only need one class—instead, you select the exact educational units your student needs to master right now.
Built-In Accountability
As a teacher with over 25 years of classroom experience, I understand how to motivate teenagers. I handle the structure, pacing, and deadlines so you can maintain a peaceful, conflict-free relationship at home.
Unit 1: The Identity Audit & Brand Statement
Objective: Uncovering academic and personal strengths to figure out your student's unique story. This serves as the strategic compass for every other college decision.
Unit 2: Major Exploration & Career ROI
Objective: Connecting "what they like" to real-world career paths and college majors, turning aimless online searching into targeted goal-setting.
Unit 3: The Non-Negotiables Deep Dive
Objective: Cutting through the noise to define the student's ideal campus size, social vibe, academic culture, and distance limits.
Unit 3.5: Phase 1 Midterm & Strategy Review
Objective: A quick, momentum-building checkpoint. The student completes independent prep work at home via a customized Google Form, followed by a punchy, 20-minute live review to lock in their game plan. (Note: Automatically unlocks as a free value-add bonus for Semester Pass students!)
Unit 4: Financial Fit: The True Cost of College
Objective: Stripping away the confusion around real bottom-line costs. We break down financial aid award letters, compare student loan options, map out scholarship search plans, and uncover hidden campus fees.
Unit 5: The Strategic 2-2-2 List & Data Tracker
Objective: Building a perfectly balanced list of schools (2 Reaches, 2 Targets, 2 Safeties) and establishing an easy digital tracker for grades, scores, and admission requirements.
Unit 6: Road Trip & Outreach Strategy
Objective: Getting the most out of college visits (both virtual and in-person) and teaching students how to advocate for themselves and show genuine interest to admissions reps.
Unit 7: The Profile & Activities Builder
Objective: Translating the student's unique personal story into a standout activities and honors section inside the Common App.
Unit 8: The Application Project Manager
Objective: Getting organized. We map out individual timelines, organize application portals/logins, and build an easy, stress-free deadline tracking system.
Unit 9: The Final "Fit" Review
Objective: The ultimate safety net. A comprehensive, top-to-bottom double-check of all application data, lists, and strategy pieces right before the student hits "Submit".

🗺️ Popular Student Learning Tracks
Best for Sophomores & Early Juniors. Uses Units 1, 2, and 3 to take a student from completely undecided to totally clear on who they are, what they want to study, and their ideal campus style.
Best for Fall of Senior Year. Combines Units 4, 7, and 8 to quickly clean up a messy college list, polish the Common App profile, and get deadlines organized.
Best for self-motivated, independent kids. Uses a multi-session pass covering Units 2, 4, 5, and 6 so the family gets expert instruction on majors and lists, but handles homework at home.
Course Completion Window: To maintain high momentum and prevent last-minute panic rushes, all sessions within a 3-Session Pass must be used within 4 months of enrollment, and 5-Session Passes must be used within 6 months. Unused sessions expire automatically.
The 48-Hour Lesson Lock-In: Because every session uses custom tools and specific resources, parents or students must confirm which unit they want to focus on at least 48 hours before our meeting so I am fully prepared for your child.
Academic Integrity: My College Conversation provides expert instruction, organization, and strategy, but does not fill out applications, write essays, or guarantee admission to any school. Like any good teacher, I provide the tools and guidance, but the student must complete their own work.
